Stranger on the other side

by Jolyn Low

It’s real.

I’m actually pursuing this dream and its working out.

On the bus ride home, I checked my email (its become an extremely bad habit) and out of no where, the email from the university had arrived. Fast forward: I’m getting my shit together and getting what I want.

Time to sit the parents down and set things straight once and for all. When there is a will there’s going to be a damn way.

Sadly, the cynical side of me asks: when will things come crashing down and what if I can’t go despite seemingly having overcome the worst?

But for now, let me spontaneously combust in my sea of (happy) tears.
