I’ve come to the realisation that it’s been a month since I’ve left home. Whilst I do miss the comforts and convenience of home, it’s been an amazing month in a new country and learning so many new things.
I’ve also pushed myself out of my comfort zone, visited so many new places and I’m savouring every single moment of it. Despite the amazing weekends spent visiting new places jammed pack with activities, it does get exhausting and it does take a toll on studying especially considering the insanely brisk pace of the lectures and demanding self-study curriculum for certain modules. Whilst difficult, I’m enjoying the academic rigour and am acclimatising to the system here.
Nevertheless, I’ve booked my tickets home for the winter break and I’m sincerely excited to be going back. Independence fulfils me, but the accessibility of everything back home awaits me.
This is not to say that I’m not struggling with certain things but I’m trying to make it better. That is all.
